I’m not necessarily a big fan of fudge. The except to that thought is this peanut butter fudge. It’s rich, decadent, delicious and like any fudge best indulged in small doses. The surprising ingredient in this recipe is marshmallow creme. It does add a bit of lightness, at least in density. Though it’s quite obvious that with with the marshmallow addition this recipe is sugar overdose. Be prepared for an official state of sugar coma.
Technically there is no need for the candy covering on this fudge. It’s perfectly yummy without any type of topping. But in order to add a little color to this treat I sprinkled a bit of baking size Reese’s Pieces and mini chocolate chips. My little guys were very delighted by this treat. Sprinkled candy on top of fudge? Oh my goodness, it’s a little boy’s idea of perfection.

- 2 cups brown sugar,
- 1/2 cup milk,
- 1 1/2 cup peanut butter,
- 1 jar marshmallow creme,
- sprinkling of baking size Reese's Pieces
- sprinkling of mini chocolate chips
- 1. In a saucepan, bring sugar and milk to a boil.
- 2. Boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- 3. Add peanut butter and marshmallow creme, mixing well.
- 4. Pour mixture into a sprayed 8-inch square pan.
- 5. Chill until set. {The freezer works well.}
- 6. Cut into squares.

We love M & M’s – going to make this soon.
