Easy Summer Raspberry Pie

Sponsored by Driscoll’s & TheFeedFeed, but my love of raspberries is all my own!

Summertime in Minnesota is a revered season. When you live in a land that has the potential for months of unending snow and ice, a balmy and breezy seventy or eighty degree day takes on true significance. The boys and I have been enjoying summer with some of our favorite seasonal activities- camping, swimming, lazy days at home reading good books, and of course, enjoying some sweet treats.

As a point of proving the Minnesotan carpe diem attitude about summer, Driscoll’s, the leading brand of natural and organic berries, recently named the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area as the raspberry consumption capital of the country. According to data reported by The Nielsen Company, the Twin Cities market consumes 132% more fresh raspberries per household than the national average. If it’s possible my fellas might be responsible for a large chunk of that huge percentage…..

Summer is just more enjoyable when you berry together!

Raspberries are definitely one of summer’s natural sweet treats. I’ve been purchasing various varieties of Driscoll’s berries for a long time. The bright red color and perfected raspberry form are top notch with Driscoll’s. Of course, not all raspberries are created equal and Driscoll’s exclusive patented berry varieties are developed through years of research using only natural breeding methods. Look at the raspberries in the package below! They are perfection!

The other day I made this super easy raspberry pie in partnership with TheFeedFeed & Driscoll’s. I call it a pie, because it is in a pie crust. I’ll be real in the sense that it could be also considered something of a gelatin salad. But it’s in a pie crust, so I’m sticking with pie. Plus when you add an abundance of fresh raspberries on top, I think that makes this especially alluring in a pie sort of way. This is all my theory anyway….

Driscoll’s follows the sun, so their sweet and juicy varieties are available year round. They keep things natural and never genetically modify raspberries. My little fellas each claimed their own raspberry package. This is such a great way to cut down on fighting, every little bit helps! The taste of fresh raspberries is definitely part of any quintessential summer experience.
