Looking for a sweet treat to make this Valentine’s Day? Let me recommend this Layers of Love Strawberry-Choco Trifle from Lucky Leaf. It could be the most decadent dessert I have ever made. My oldest two son’s eyes literally doubled with delight when they saw the finished product. I can’t blame them. With pudding, cake, strawberry pie filling, and whipped topping it has all the dessert groups covered:)
Sure, you could make this treat any time of the year, but its only forgivable at Valentine’s Day:) Consider it a guilt-free day!
I have always wanted to make a trifle. But somehow I had never gotten around to making one until now. And for the record trifle is pronounced, trahy-fuhl. There was some debate at my house over the correct pronunciation. Let’s just say you know who was correct. Nana and my hubby can now consider themselves educated on the matter:)
This dessert can be made with Lucky Leaf Cherry Pie Filling instead, but I prefer strawberries.
Even with all the traditional trifle layers this dessert came together in a jiffy. Baking the cake and making the pudding took the longest, but they were each from a box and therefore were not complicated. After the cake is cool and the pudding set, simply layer the trifle adding each ingredient.

And just so you don’t think I live a perfectly charmed life, I will show you what was going on while I was trying to take these pictures. My pesky two year old was hovering at the ready for his moment. I literally had to push his head out of the way to get these pictures taken. The minute I turn MY head and he makes his move!
