Marvel’s The Avengers Cookies! (#TheAvengersEvent)

I consider myself a fairly adept cook, but frosting?  Bakerella, I am not.  But to be fair, I was not working alone.  Are you kidding?  There was no way I was going to be able to make The Avengers cookies without “help” from three little super heroes in training.  And frankly, I wouldn’t have it any other way:)

Let me show you how it went down…..

It all started with this awesome Marvel cookie cutter set from Williams Sonoma.  For the record, Spiderman is included in the set, but to be authentic to the new Marvel’s The Avengers movie we excluded him.  Poor Spiderman:)

My boys were ecstatic.  Cookies, in super hero form!  Best cookies, ever!

This Saturday morning we set to work….

Notice we also received an awesome Hulk spatula.  For the record William Sonoma has an awesome assortment of Avengers products.  I love this Nordic Cakeware set and this fun cupcake decorating kit.  What a great birthday party idea!

It is best to make sure the cookie cutters are well floured before each cut.   This made for the best cookies.

If it seems as though a certain little someone is hording the Hulk spatula you would presume correctly.  He wasn’t willing to share until he finally understood he could ultimately have it back:)

The pro at work!

This is just like play-doh!

Woo hoo!  It worked!

Here you go, Mom!

The next day it was time for decorating……

Again, I thought maybe I would be able to decorate them first thing in the morning, so I could concentrate.  Who am I kidding, concentrating would not have improved my skills:)

Instead we all decorated the best we could.  My four year old tried fairly hard in the beginning, but ultimately just started decorating like this….

Ummm….more frosting is good, right?

I guess it can’t be said I stifled his creative expressions:)

But I guess the real proof is in the pudding….

My four year old deemed Ironman delicious!

This was such a fun activity:)  My boys and I had a great time.  A big thank you to Disney for sponsoring our cooking set!

Don’t forget to watch for future posts regarding my upcoming trip to NYC for Marve’s The Avengers Closing Night Showing at the Tribeca Film Festival.   And don’t forget Marvel’s The Avengers hits theaters everywhere May 4th!  Connect with the movie via Facebook.

  1. Those came out adorable! I can’t wait to see The Avengers, I’m taking my son the week it comes out. You have such handsome little men there!

  2. Not that it makes any difference, but the Hulk cookie tasted the best.

  3. I think yours turned out really good! I love how the boys decorated theirs – you’ve got some great cooking/baking helpers! I’m glad you all enjoyed the cookies you made 🙂

These work great for polymer, or salt dough, ornaments & magnets. My son colors them with markers or paint.
