MommyParties Nutella Party

I was super excited to host a Nutella Party from MommyParties.  My husband introduced me to Nutella back when we were in college, but it had been a LONG time since I had any.  I forgot how good it is:)  My husband was very excited since he loves it and had forgotten about it also.  Poor Nutella, you were forgotten:(  Needless to say we won’t be forgetting you again.  We love to eat Nutella on toast in the morning for breakfast, but for my party I wanted to make something special.  My kit came with two Nutella recipes (Breakfast Roll Up & Breakfast Sandwich), but I didn’t feel that either option would be a good fit for my party.  That’s when I came up with Nutella on puffy pasty dough.  I’m sure someone else has thought of this.  There is bound to be a recipe out their somewhere, but I just envisioned them together and had to give it a try.  Here are the results!

It was fabulous!!!  And so easy! I simply spread Nutella on the puff pasty, baked it according to the directions, heated some Nutella to drip over the top and then added slivered almonds.   I am definitely going to be making these treats again!  Luckily I captured a picture of the treats before my guests arrived, because they disappeared so fast!

I also served my Tomato and Cheese Strata to even out the sweet vs. salty.

Some of my guests had tried Nutella before and loved it, while other were relatively unfamiliar with it.  I think there are a few new Nutella lovers thanks to my MommyParty.  One of my guests was a HUGE Nutella fan and loves to spread it on a tortilla.  She already owns a BIG jar of Nutella for her family as her kids are big fans too.  They loved the goodie bags!  Who doesn’t love a goodie bag?

Here they are all lined up and ready to go!

This is my friend Elaine with her goodie bag.  She had never tried Nutella before, but her husband is a big fan.

We had a wonderful time at our Nutella Party and we are still enjoying Nutella on toast for breakfast.  I had to purchase another jar with my coupon so we are prepared when our jar is empty (it almost is:).

You can purchase Nutella at grocery stores across the country.  Click here for a coupon for one dollar off.

I was provided a Nutella Party Kit from Nutella, MommyParties, and Mom Select.  All opinions are my own.
