As I write this post, I am looking out over Lake Vermilion. We are currently on vacation in the northwoods of Minnesota. Yes, life is good. A couple of days ago we ventured to one of our favorite cities Duluth. I’ve mentioned this before, but eating at Red Lobster is part of our traditional visit to this area.
This brick building has hosted some memorable family trips and this recent visit was no exception.
We were eager to try the temporary offering of Seaside Mix & Match, but I must confess you don’t have to twist my arm to visit Red Lobster. You’ve tried the Cheddar Bay Biscuits, right?!
Oh lordy, they are good. Ours were buttery and light right from the oven. I might have blacked out for a moment.
I actually have to limited how many biscuits my little guys eat during a visit. I think they would just gorge themselves on these tasty treats and not even eat a meal, not that I can blame them.
My husband and I opted to share three choices from the Seaside Mix & Match menu. I don’t think we have ever tried this limited items before, but it was a definite hit.
This dish is available in a two or three item purchase, but both options come with Cheddar Bay Biscuits and a salad. We selected Shrimp and Scallops Linguine, Crunchy Parmesan Ranch Shrimp, and new Cheddar Bay Biscuit Shrimp-&-Lobster Pot Pie. Yes, you read that correctly- shrimp and lobster pot pie with a biscuit topping. Yeah, the creator of this dish is definitely brilliant.
This dish is perfect for a rainy summer day to make you feel all warm, cozy, and happy inside. Or actually even if it isn’t raining and you still need a piece of happy comfort I recommend this dish:)
The Shrimp & Scallops Linguine was delicious, but surprisingly it was the Crunchy Parmesan Ranch Shrimp that were our favorite.
The Parmesan Ranch flavoring was tangy and an immediate hit with us, but ultimately we loved that we could pick and choose our preferred dishes. Having the ability to create our ideal meal is always plus.
Here is the official scoop on this Seaside Mix & Match promotion-
“Seaside Mix-and-Match” promotion, allows guests to combine two entrées with soup or salad and unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits for only $12.99* through July 7th. (*Pricing may vary at Hawaii and Times Square – New York locations)

Yum!! We love Red Lobster ! Those biscuits really good you though !! LOL
They are so yummy but so filling !
Red Lobster is a good “chain” restaurant for seafood. We’ve had great meals, but also bad. I guess it depends on the cook at that time.
OMG! I love Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits…now I’m craving one…
YUMMY!! YUMMY!! YUMMY!!! I could make a meal just on the biscuits! Love Red Robin!
My family loves Red Lobster. We went last week for out monthly out to dinner family meal. It was wonderful!
Our nearest Red Lobster is almost 4 hours away. We always stop for biscuits to take home even if we aren’t eating there! I’d love to try the Shrimp and Lobster Pie. Fortunately we’re going out of state over the 4th of July and will be near a RL. We’ll make a point of eating there!
The Red Lobster wasn’t the best place we ever ate. They do offer alot of seafood but we haven’t gone there forever. Applebees 2 for $20 is more our yummy place to go when we do go out.
OMG this looks so good I love seafood it is always my first choice when going out to eat 🙂
