TheraBreath Multi-Symptom ProBiotics

TheraBreath Multi Symptom Oral Care Probiotic is part of a new generation of probiotics that are very targeted in terms of their benefits. The BLIS probiotic strains used in this new TheraBreath product were discovered to be naturally occurring in the oral cavities of a very small percentage of children who showed a natural resistance to cavities, sore throats, ear aches and bad breath. BLIS strains selectively target hostile bacteria responsible for various oral cavity related illnesses while allowing beneficial oral flora to remain intact. This prevents compromising your body’s natural immunity to disease, which can sometimes happen after antibiotic treatments.

How To Use This Product
Brush Teeth, tongue, and inside cheeks with TheraBreath Toothpaste (included) to prepare for treatment. Mix one stick pack with about two mouthfuls (2oz.) of water until fully dissolved. Rinse mouth thoroughly for 1 minute with one mouthful. Spit. Gargle for 30 seconds with next mouthful. Spit. If additional solution remains, rinse until gone. You will learn to estimate more precisely as you use the treatment. Use treatment TWICE (morning and night) on DAY 1, ONCE (each morning) on DAYS 2-6, and TWICE (morning and night) on DAY 7.

This is not my first experience with TheraBreath.  I reviewed TheraBreath toothpaste, lozenges,  and oral rinse a few months ago.  You can read that review here.  This was my first experience with their new Multi-Symptom Probiotics treatment.  The idea is that using this product will help decrease the likelihood of cavities, bad breath, plague, sensitive teeth, sore throats, ear aches, and gum problems.  Like probiotics that are found in your yogurt and help digestion, these probiotics are helpful in overall gum health.

To use the treatment you first simply brush your entire mouth (tongue and top of mouth too) with the toothpaste provided.  Then you mix the packet (starting with Day 1) with a little bit of water.  Already being familiar with the toothpaste, it is the mouth gurgling packet that interested me the most.  Would the powdered formula be hard to gurgle?  What about the taste?  I need not have feared.  The taste is very refreshing.  Essentially it is like gurgling with lemon water.  Unlike many mouth washing formulas this solution did not cause any discomfort or difficulty.  There is no alcohol in the solution and therefore no sharp bite.  The box clearly shows how to continue this treatment for seven days.

Will this prevent me from getting more cavities?  Only time will tell.  When I was little I had very good teeth, unfortunately with age my teeth have had quite a few cavities and I even had my first crown a few months ago.  Ouch! I am hopefully that this will help prevent more cavities.  Of course proper dental hygiene is a necessity along with this probiotic.  And perhaps I ought to cut out some of that sugar I’m eating:)  Isn’t sooo hard!

Overall I find TheraBreath products to be different from main stream dental care products.  TheraBreath products seem much more natural and less chemically induced.  TheraBreath products also seem more dedicated to prolonged oral health than some other companies (which will remain nameless).  I found the Multi-Symptom Probiotic treatment to be easy and refreshing experience.   I am very hopeful that it will also provide extra protection against those nasty cavities.
