Creative, Imaginative Play with Magnaflex & a Giveaway

I have been compensated for this post, all opinions are my own.

The great gift giving season of 2017 is upon us. And so begins my attempt at discovering and gifting some of the best creative toys for my little fellas. Sometimes it can seems as though the market is only full of action heroes and violent wielding personas. To be fair, my guys have a plethora of these types of toys. To be a boy mom means you need to embrace epic heroes. While I don’t diminish their need to conquer all, I also make sure I’m providing opportunities for them to play with creative and imagination inducing toys.

This season I’ve discovered Magnaflex sets. It’s simple. These pieces are snapable, bendable, zipable, and connectable so that kids can create original creatures or really anything that their heart desires. Open-ended toys like this are so important for children to learn to grow outside the box. Creativity, originality, and using ones imagination are such important things.

Made for children 3+ there are design plans included that provide instruction on how to build different animals. My set includes the instructions on a vary of insects and bugs. Other sets are focused on different animals. For instance the 14 piece set includes instructions for a fish, fox, dog, owl, cat and turtle.

Kids can create these bugs, insects and animals or {of course} they can build their own creations. The sky is the limit! This toy has no batteries and tests out those fine motor skills, plus pick up is really easy since the pieces are all magnetic. Trying to keep the strips apart is really the challenge.

See how easy it is to create the ladybug in the video below.

Magnaflex kits are available for sale at Amazon and Target. My advice is to purchase a couple of different sets so that kids can really mix and match to create their own visions.

If you are looking to get a head start on your holiday shopping, just wrap up one of these kits and you are on your way! Check one gift off that list!

One lucky Mama Report reader will get a jump start on holiday gift giving by winning the 14 piece animal set {featured above}!
