Continuing with my theme of featuring other bloggers AMAZING work via The Mama Report, today I’m showcasing Ashley Szeremet’s amazing princess party at Spit Up is the New Black. No birthday party needed, this blogger knows that kids appreciate a celebration at any time.
Check out how she attempted to recapture the magic that is The Magic Kingdom®!
As you may know, I am a proud member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. As part of a sponsored post for their client, I brought the magic of the Magic Kingdom® home with a Disney Princess (& Pirate) dream party celebration.
It wasn’t a birthday. It wasn’t a preschool graduation party. It wasn’t a dance recital after-party. It was childhood. And childhood is reason enough to celebrate. Ten days ago, we took Bear to Walt Disney World. Before I even became a mom, I’d dreamt about traveling to Disney with my child and his or her grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, and cousins, something I’d done as a child. But our last minute trip preparations prevented our family from coming with us. So we decided to bring Disney to them!
Early Saturday morning (before nap times), the family came over to our house for a Disney princess (and pirate) celebration. The idea was to recreate the dress-up and makeup experience of the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, A magical beauty salon that transforms little girls into princesses, and The Pirates League, where kids get transformed into a “living, breathing swashbuckler from the days of olde,” at the Magic Kingdom®.
With a swap of decor, the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique become The Pirates League for my nephew to transform into Jack Sparrow.
Childhood. When else can you spend a morning playing make believe, running around laughing, and filling your belly with PB&J, cake and too many fruit snacks? Now that’s reason enough to celebrate.
