I love fall.  I've professed this adoration many times here.  It is by far my favorite time of year.  The falling leaves, the crispy cool temperatures all add to the beauty of the season.  But for most, this time of year is not synonymous with beautiful gardens.  For most of us, this time of year means the end of our garden.  The vegetables have been picked and the plants are dying, and most flowers bloomed long ago.

But it is possible to Find beauty in the Fall by adding a few simple plants to your garden.  Fall gardening need not be time consuming or as labor intensive as the summer, but planting a few bunches of mums can add a world of difference to your garden or yard.

Living in the North my options are limited, check out your possibilities at Fall plant and feed.  But it would be quite easy to make the pumpkins decorated in the picture above by planting a number of mums.  Isn't it gorgeous!?  Simply use a little hot glue to hold the mums in place.

And of course bulb planting is another option this time of year.  Sure, you won't see the benefit until spring, but think of all the beautiful centerpieces that could be created using tulips!

All that's needed to create this stunning centerpiece is to slice a couple of limes and place them in a vase first!  So simply and yet so beautiful!
