Jolly Blast Soccer App Review & Giveaway

Did you receive a new “toy”  this Christmas?  I did.  I gave myself an iPad.  Isn’t that nice?  Okay, I gave my husband one too.  While my husband is excited to receive his new toy, he is very proud that I own one and even wanted one.  The more I embrace technology the more my husband finds me attractive.  It official, I’m turning into a geek!

Now that we have new iPads in the house my children are going to want to use them too.  It is inevitable.  They have a LeapPad, but the iPad really is just amazing.  I can’t blame them for wanting their turn.  My new mission is to acquire fun, age appropriate apps for them. I would also prefer the variety that actually has them learning something.  Mindless games are fun, but they are mindless.  I’m looking for something more.

I recently received the app.-  Jolly Blast Soccer.  Jolly Blast includes two Blastronauts, Jolly and Holly and they explore a variety of sports.  Soccer is their first adventure.

Check out this short video for a brief glimpse of the program.

This app for iPad or iPod Touch is a preschool friendly way for children to become familiar with soccer.  Featuring NFL pro Tony Gonzalez the images are fun and children will learn various different aspects of soccer in a fun filled way.  Any adult fan of soccer would love this user friendly app for children.  The program does a good job of breaking down the different parts of soccer including gear and basic logistics of the game.  Essentially this program provides a great introduction to the game.

While this app. is perfect for my four year old, my seven year old will also check it out.  I can’t imagine it will hold his interest as long, but since he has been playing soccer for a number of years already this app. will be useful to him as well.

This is what you need to ask yourself?  Do you like soccer?  Do you want to introduce the sport to your child?  If so, then I would recommend purchasing Jolly Blast soccer.  It is currently available in English or Spanish.

Simply right click this coloring page and save it to your computer to print for your kiddos!
