Kiddie Catch-All Review & Giveaway CLOSED

First of all let me explain that I probably have a different carseat configuration than most people.  We have an eight person Toyota Sienna.  We purchased this van in particular so that two out of three of our children could be in the middle at all times.  Our eldest son, age six, rides on the side behind the driver.  Here is a picture.

Now that you see how our van is arranged I can explain why the Kiddie Catch-All worked for 2 out of 3 of my children.

My youngest sits in the middle seat of the middle row.  His brother is next to him on one side and there is no room for the basket and on the other side the seat flips to allow our other child into the far back.  Because the seat flips forward there is also no room for the Kiddie Catch-All.  If you have a van arranged in this fashion the Kiddie Catch-All will not work in this particular spot.

My middle son rides in the middle seat in the back.  He has a Brittax Regent and the Kiddie Catch-All works with his seat.  However the seat is very wide at the base and the Kiddie Catch-All must stretch to make it fit.  It works, but it is not entirely secure.

My eldest son rides behind the driver in a Brittax Frontier 85 seat.  He’s six and still in a 5-point harness.  Don’t tell him that most kids are just in a booster at this age.  I’m riding out the 5-point harness as long as I can.  Safety is our first concern!:) As you can see from the picture (below) the Kiddie Catch-All fits perfectly in the arm rest of his seat.  He has a cup holder built into the seat and he thought that was fabulous.  Needless to say he loves his Catch-All.  Being six we can fill his basket with all kinds of activities and he can keep himself happy.  Yippee!

Overall Thoughts

The Kiddie Catch-All is a great idea.  Why didn’t someone think of this years earlier?  I love the fact that the nylon bag can be removed from the basket for easy cleaning.  Can you tell it was made by a mom?  If a product includes easy cleaning you can bet a mom was involved:) One suggestion.  I would suggest having an adjustable band for those seats that are thicker so that the Catch-All can still be securely fastened.
