Little Tikes DiscoverSounds- Shape, Sort & Scatter Toy Review & Giveaway

The new Little Tikes DiscoverSounds Shape, Sort & Scatter toys is everything a baby/toddler toy should be.  Part eye catching, part musical, part educational- this toy encompasses everything your little one will love.   As a parent most of us look for toys that potentially teach something to our children and entertain.  The Little Tikes DiscoverSounds Shape, Sort & Scatter fulfills both of these important elements.

My children were eager to test the three different modes of the toy.  Twisting the pink knob to align the yellow star selects each particular mode.  Then simply press the Little Tikes button to activate that mode.

Mode 1- FREE PLAY– Toy counts as child drops shapes into the top of the bowl.  Also identifies the color and shape as child inserts them into the correct matching hole.

Mode 2- DIRECTED PLAY– Toy directs child to insert color/shape into the correct matching hole.

Mode 3- RACE THE CLOCK– Countdown begins, child then has 6 seconds to place each color/shape into the correct matching hole.  “Ticker sound” warns child that time is running out.

After 30 seconds toy will automatically shut off.

Like traditional shape sorters, this toy is equipped with a variety of shapes and colors.  This would be the educational part I was referring to:)  Even for the youngest of children placing the shape into the bowl provides feed back in mode 1 such as colors and shape.

This Little Tikes toy also features 3-languages; children can learn counting, shapes and colors in English, Spanish and French!

If you you are shopping for a baby this Christmas, this new Little Tikes toy would make a great gift!

It also includes a helpful handle on top for easy transport!

Little Tikes DiscoverSounds Shape, Sort & Scatter is available for purchase through Amazon.
