Mini Lalaloopsy Treehouse Playset Review & Giveaway

I recently received the Mini Lalaloopsy Treehouse Playset for review.  Having a 4 1/2 year-old daughter, I thought I was pretty current when it comes to toys, however I had not yet heard of Lalaloopsy prior to receiving this treehouse playset.  My daughter was ecstatic when she saw it, and was very eager to get all the pieces out of the packaging.  One thing I will mention about this playset is that it contains A LOT of very small pieces.  This is something to keep in mind if you have young toddlers in the house that like to put toys in their mouth.  The recommended age for the treehouse is ages 4+ which is very appropriate.  Another tip when opening the packaging is that you may want to have a ziploc bag or other container handy to keep all the small pieces from getting lost.  My daughter likes to “transport” items from one room to another and within minutes of unpackaging everything, she had run off with a couple of the small pieces and it took us quite a while to find them.

The treehouse and its accessories are extremely adorable.  It also comes with 3″ mini Lalaloopsy girl and boy figures (named “Spot Splatter Splash” and “Patch Treasurechest”) that can be placed in the treehouse’s walnut hammocks and tire swing (which slides down a very cool zipline between the trees).  There is also a wind-up basket for transporting goodies or the dolls up to the treehouse.  There are enough cute features to keep kids busy for quite awhile as they use their imaginative play skills.  We left the treehouse set up for several days in our living room and my daughter gravitated to it anytime she had free time to play.

Since becoming aware of the Lalaloopsy line of toys, I am suddenly seeing them everywhere.  They are included in all of the “Christmas wishlist” toy advertisement books I’ve seen, and I have a prediction that the Mini Lalaloopsy Treehouse will be a big seller and a big hit this holiday season.  It is currently available at Target and other retail stores at the price of $39.99.  Currently the set is on sale at Kmart for $34.99.

Lalaloopsy is also releasing a set of webisodes.  The first in the series is ”Jewel Sparkles’ Unbirthday Party!”  Jewel has a long to-do list for her birthday – but will her friends be able to help her celebrate in time? “Stay tuned for more exciting Lalaloopsy webisodes coming soon!
