Monkey Balm Eczema Relief Review & Giveaway

Monkey Balm is a unique approach to eczema control as it comes as an orange stick, reminiscent of chapstick. While my daughter’s eczema seems to be mostly under control right now, she still has pretty dry skin.

Monkey Balm is  different from what we are used to applying to our daughter’s skin. Most of the products are either white or clear to cloudy looking. The nice part of this product is that you use the stick to apply it to the skin, so it is a lot less greasy than others. I like that this product is not greasy feeling when it is on and therefore the likelyhood of staining clothes is much less. I don’t know how many shirts I have had to try to remove grease spots from Aquaphor, because my daughter likes to run away when you are putting lotion on her skin.  When I first smelled the Monkey Balm I as considered as it has a clear citrus odor,  I then scanned the product list and noticed that “fragrance” was not added. I was very relieved because we buy all fragrance free products for my eczema plagued daughter.

As I was chasing my daughter around the house trying to apply this product I was very glad it was in stick form as it is a lot easier to chase her down when I didn’t have a handful of greasy lotion! Another thing that was nice was this product didn’t seem to sting or bother her while it was being applied. We have had prescription creams that make her cry out because her skin is so sensitive.

I will be continuing to use Monkey Balm on my daughter, but it isn’t just for eczema!  It is good for burns as well and of course dry skin as that goes hand in hand with eczema. I read from one fan online that she uses on her heels and feet with socks on and it softens and heals that skin. I just might try it and see if it helps my cracked feet.

If you want to try this product it can be purchased for $15.95 on the Monkey Balm website. They are also running a promotion right now where if you buy 2 sticks you get the 3rd free. I might just look into this so I can leave a stick in the diaper bag and one at my in-laws lake place for the summer.

One lucky Mama Report reader will win a stick of Monkey Balm to try for themselves!

Always trying anything not yet tried, both my grandsons and DIL have Eczema. My 10 yr old suffers the most. He can only use the prescription medicine for short periods of time due to being steriods. The best was when they lived by the ocean and went swimming in salt water often.

We currently use Cetaphil lotion for my 6 year old son, it doesn’t burn or bother him, but it can be very greasy. I will have to try the monkey balm.
