Since school started for another season, I’ve been busy coordinating events and meetings at my son’s local preschool. I’m a member of the Board of Directors and our required tasks are vast. Three years ago another board member, a couple of teachers, and I started an annual Fall Festival. The basis of our event is family fun. That’s the best sort of event, right? Preschool children attend to participate in hands-on fun.
This year our events included- various sensory tables, pumpkin pounding, bean bag toss, cookie decorating, face painting, dancing, storytelling, and a craft area. My boys love it! While the focus of the event is about having a positive family fun event, we also raise funds for our non-profit school by charging a moderate admittance fee and hosting a bake sale. This year our event was a success once again, but as you can image creating and planning on this scale requires careful consideration.
Since our school is non-profit we certainly don’t have an excess of money to spend on items. We have actually reused most of our handmade indoor signs every year.
This year we decided to capture our community’s attention with a sign outside. I had a 2×4 banner made from Signs.com to feature our event. The best part is that this sign is made for outdoor use and will be able to be utilized for years to come.
FYI- the sign is not crooked, but our school is situated on a hill and we had tremendous winds the days before our festival. The sign was pushed about endlessly, but handled the abuse very well. No tears, no folds, nothing. This high quality, custom sign stood the ultimate weather test.
Signs.com has a vast selection of signs available for any event, festival, or occasion. Next year, it will be time for our school to upgrade our homemade activity signs to a professional version. We will probably be inclined to select one of the numerous banners available. But even in our general attempt to market our school we can have car magnets, window decals, and car decals created.
If you are interested in creating signs, banners, magnets, or an assortment of custom materials make sure to use coupon code TMR15. You’ll save 15%, but make sure to hurry as this code will no longer be valid after the end of November.
