I realize it’s only October, but at my house we are already thinking about Christmas. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas goes by so fast, I don’t have the luxury of waiting to purchase all my Christmas gifts. I need to be shopping in October. And sometimes even shopping in September and August is a big help, so I am not entirely crunched in the hustle and bustle of the season.
If you are in need of an inspirational gift giving idea the new Tomica Hypercity Rescue Storm Runner Jet would make a great gift for little ones this holiday season.
This three-in-one toy is part jet, part submarine and part racecar. And with all pieces together form the ultimate non-motorized rescue jet!
Each of the three main pieces is packaged separately, however in a few moments it is easy to have them combined.
The set also includes two attachable missiles and a TomiHero figure. Notice that he fits easily into the jet/racecar.
The three pieces fit together via little plastic holders. Prior to building I didn’t entirely know how they worked, but I easily snapped them into place. Directions (which are included) are not even necessary as it is quite apparent how they fit together. The black slots are the connecting pieces in the picture below.
Together the pieces make for an impressive toy, however I really like that they have the ability to come apart. With three little guys in my house, each boy can have a section and still be happy:)
This set is compatible with other Hypercity Rescue toys. This is my family’s first experience with a Tomica toy, therefore I can’t say how well they work with other items in the set. Though I can confirm the toy works great with many other toys. Notice the open compartment below- this makes a great racecar garage.
The picture below features the police submarine (my boys and I think it resembles a train). Notice the gray slot area as this is where it attaches to the jet.
My boys were eager to “test” this product, as you can imagine.
I can confirm the toy can take a good bashing. I told the boys to play nicely and carefully. That lasted about two minutes, and then I distinctly heard crashing noises. Boys will be boys!
Based on my boys experience with the Tomica Hypercity Rescue Storm Runner Jet I would recommend Tomica products. They almost seem like a wonderful mix between Transformers and LEGOS.
