Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes Review & Giveaway

Germs– their everywhere– lurking around the corner, just waiting to make you and your family sick.  Okay that’s a bit dramatic, but you get the idea.  They really are everywhere.  And while a vast number of germs won’t actually make you sick (in small doses), there are just enough nasty ones that do!  My family seems to be struck with the flu at least once per winter.  But in actuality this pattern didn’t start until my oldest son started preschool.  They key word is school.  I love school, don’t get me wrong.  I am a former teacher after all.  But it is great place to pick up some particularly icky germs.

According to a recent survey of parents conducted by Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes, about half (49%) are worried about their children getting sick and about one-third (32%) are concerned about their children being exposed to germs.

Everyone has heard of Wet Ones, haven’t they?  Hmmm…perhaps I assume too much.  I think of Wet Ones has baby wipes that are germ fighters.  Perhaps that is a confusing statement.  Don’t use them on your child’s butt, but do use them on your children’s hands to kill germs.  Wet Ones actually kills 99.99% of germs.  That’s pretty darn good!

I keep a a canister of Wet Ones handy in the car, since I worry about germs most when we are “out and about”.  I can easily slip them into one of my many cup holders in my van.  Having them accessible and visible helps me remember to use them.  I realize this idea will not work for everyone, but a canister or small pack can fit almost anywhere.

It seems like my boys always have icky hands.  When you are the mother of three boys I guess it is just your job to deal with icky hands and faces.  Sure, girls get icky too, but boys are boys.  My four year old who rides in the back of the van (we really do love him as much as the other two, he rides in the back so he can be in the middle and therefore safest position) often cries to me, “MOM my hands are sticky!” (insert a heavy amount of whining and fake crying)  He doesn’t like sticky/icky hands, not that I blame him.  He will not stop until they are taken care of.  My solution?  A Wet Ones wipe, of course.  I can toss a wipe back to him (not the safest thing from a driving standpoint, but at least it stops the loud, loud, noise he’s making).  He is satisfied that his hands are clean and I am satisfied because they are germ free.

Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes has recently teamed up with renowned science educator Bill Nye to teach families about germ in a fun and interactive way. Check out his germ experiment demonstrations at Wet Ones Healthy Hands Zone.

Wet Ones has also tapped, William Sears, M.D. to share simple tips parents can follow to keep their kids healthy, from brain to body. Here are some tips for Fall.  Check out the website for more helpful tips for this coming winter.

One lucky Mama Report reader will win a set of Wet Ones to help keep their family germ free this school season.
