We are currently in the midst of a deep, deep love affair with Iron Man at my house. My two youngest sons are somewhat obsessed. They frequently have fights over, who can “be” Iron Man. It goes something like this.
5 year old- “I’m Iron Man”.
2 year old- “No, I”m Iron Man”.
5 year old- “I’m Iron Man!”.
2 year old- “I’M IRON MAN!“.
Yes, it’s exhausting. Most of the time they agree they can both be Iron Man, but they are put out that they can’t be the sole man of iron.
Obviously, this DVD doesn’t help this issue. It just makes both of them want to be Iron Man even more, if that’s possible. Meanwhile my older son just watches with amusement as he is assured he is the real Iron Man indeed.
Sometimes it just doesn’t pay to fight the primal need to be a Super Hero. Iron Man is pretty awesome and this DVD is a great way for children to celebrate the current Marvel phenomenon. With The Avengers movie being PG13, this DVD is a better fit for younger audiences.
