HABA USA- Quality German Wood Toys & a Giveaway

HABA has just made it easier to embrace our German heritage with the release of HABA USA.  Okay, okay that might be a slight exaggeration:)  I can’t guarantee you’ll feel closer to your German ancestry if you have any, but it is now easier than ever for Americans to purchase HABA’s quality wooden toys.

As the mom to three little boys, I am familiar with HABA’s simple, yet brilliant toys.  There is a particular store in my town that carries a wide variety.   But now I can shop from the comfort of my own home, just in time for Christmas!

I find HABA toys to be understated brilliance.  They are not the flashy, noise-making toys that my children would first choose in a toy store.  However, once at home these toys have the creativity and durability to be long lasting.

Case in point, I received the Discovery Set Round and Round and my entire family was fascinated by these simple wooden pieces.

Like many HABA toys, this set includes pieces that encourage children to use their imagination.  Building, balance, and originality are all reenforced through this type of play.

My little guys loved it!

Established since 1938, HABA creates over a 1000 different toys that have won a variety of awards.  When a family has been in the business this long clearly they are doing something right!

HABA takes your child’s play time seriously and their new site is well constructed for curious parents.  Everyone can be educated about safety issues, product development, corporate philosophy and even an array of YouTube videos.
There’s a spot for instant product registration for HABA’s swings and seesaw. A long list of environmental protection initiatives and descriptions of materials (timber, stain, fabric, plastics) are itemized in easy-to-follow paragraphs.

Of course if you prefer to actually shop from a physical store simply search the easy to use locator to find a store near you!

And while HABA toys are a bit more expensive, I find that the quality is unparallelled.  Yes, other toys are cheaper, but will they last?  I have had a plethora of plastic, cheap toys break and quite a few end up at the bottom of my trash can.

My little guys have thoroughly enjoyed playing with this Discovery Set Round and Round and I highly recommend this set for birthdays and Christmas presents.  It would also make a great baby gift as it is the type of toy that will last for years and a child can grow into.

Connect with HABA USA to check out the full selection of toys available and also connect with via Facebook and Twitter for additional updates.

One lucky Mama Report reader will win a HABA Discovery Set Round and Round! (ARV $69.99)
