Race cars are speeding hunks of bliss to little boys. I don’t entirely understand it. I’m a girl, after all. But perhaps it is the same feeling I get when I look at a new cookbook:) All I can attest to is that my boys go bonkers for racing vehicles of any sort. And this new Scan2Go set from MGA Entertainment had them jumping for joy.
Just as suggested, cars in this series move by being scanned with a card. The set includes track, ONE car, and the necessary scan cards in both power and turbo mode.
Putting together the track was super easy. Normally I have my husband assemble everything in the house, but I was feeling brave this particular day. But I had the track together in no time. Actually my eight year old wanted to do it himself (it’s that easy), but kept at it since I wanted to feel useful.
The tracks slide together and then are held in place by a little bracket.
Once the track is assembled, you’ll need to add a couple of AA batteries to the car. Then you’re ready to scan and go!
Turn on your vehicle and swipe a power card through the scanner on the hood of the vehicle, a light will shine blue. Then simply place the car on the track and press the go button. As you can see in the pictures, it quickly starts whizzing around the track.
My boys had a great time racing the car. Do notice however that there is only one car included, although the box shows two. However you can purchase additional cars without the entire set.
My oldest started creating obstacle courses for the car by placing books and other miscellaneous items on top of the track to just see what would happen. Isn’t that such a boy thing? Let’s do “this” and see what happens:)
