Remember trading friendship bracelets when you were in school? In my day, I remember making friendship bracelets of varying colors and designs from embroidery thread. I think recent generations have all had similar experiences of sharing and trading something special with their friends.
Mungi bands are about to be the newest craze for this generation! Mungi (pronounced moon-gee) bands are silicone wrist bands but they have a new twist: they are magnetic, and can be mixed and matched depending on your mood and style. You can also connect as many together as you like, to form bracelets, hair bands, necklaces, ankle bracelets, you name it!
Even though they are recommended for ages 8 years old and up, my almost 6-year-old daughter fell in love with them, too. She picked out the “Dancing Princess”, “70’s”, and “Board, Butterflies & Best Friends” themes. In all, there are 10 themed designs to choose from, including some cool ones for the guys, too! Check out all of the selections at www.mungibands.com.
To use them is easy. You just connect two bands together to form a bracelet.
Or you can connect a few together to make a necklace!
Or if you are very creative, you can make something that’s all your own, like a bouquet!
Or just about anything you can imagine.
My daughter also had fun attaching them to any metal surface she could find, which proves that Mungi Bands don’t even have to be used as jewelry. You can use them for whatever your imagination creates!
As my daughter wore her bands as bracelets for the first time, I was interested to hear what her friends would say about Mungi Bands. Unanimously, all her friends said, “wow – cool!” and “Where’d you get those??” They were very interested in checking them out and trying them on. I have already visited the Mungi Bands website and have ordered additional sets to have on hand for birthday presents for my daughter’s friends. I am usually at a loss as to what gifts to buy her friends, but Mungi Bands are perfect because they are new and different, and they are not sold in stores in my area, so I knew I would be giving a unique gift that they don’t already have!
Mungi bands are sold as three colorful bands per package, for only $6.99, and come in two sizes – small is 9 cm and large is 10 cm. They are sold online at www.mungibands.com or in some specialty toy stores (check the website for a store listing). Connect with Mungi Bands via Facebook and Twitter for additional information.
