Pro Series Microphones allows kids (and adults!) of all ages to sing with rockstar-quality vocals!

Using unique Perfect Pitch™ technology, the new microphone analyzes and tunes the singer’s pitch in real-time, with five separate modes: Solo/Duet, Auto Harmony, Auto Vibrato, Chorus, and Auto. As you sing, the Pro Mic instantly transforms your voice, giving rockin’, Grammy-quality vocals to even the least-experienced crooner!

Unlike other Paper Jamz products that let users make music with a touch enabled-print, the Pro Microphone is a real mic, which comes included with a small 4×2 inch box to be worn on your belt. The box acts as both an amplifier and tuner, and uses pitch detection to transform the quality of your voice as you sing, with five different modes: Solo/Duet, Auto Harmony, Auto Vibrato, Chorus, and Auto. Once you’re done rocking out, simply connect the box to your computer and use the Paper Jamz to load the box with more of your favorite music from iTunes for continued play. Additionally, the Paper Jamz website has hundreds (soon to be thousands!) of songs to download, too!

Download the free app. Add your own music. Sing like a star.

Let me first state that Paper Jamz Pro Series Microphone is a children’s toy.  Let’s make that clear.

Now let me tell you that I love it more than the children.  The wooden spoons and hairbrushes I have been using all my life are now history.  There is only Paper Jamz Microphone.  The following may or may not be true.

1. My children leave the room when they see me pick it up and turn it on.

2. My children come back into the room with their hands over their ears and ask me to stop, because they can hear me in the other room.

3. I don’t want to stop.  I want to keep singing.  The kitchen is my stage.  Ignoring my booing children I sing to the apples and bananas.

4. After my children beg me to stop, I finally put it down, vowing to have my own private sing-a-thon when they are asleep.

Our Paper Jamz came pre-loaded with two songs- Gwyneth Paltrow singing Celo Green’s “Forget You”.  Love it, love it!  It is my song of choice!  We all know what colorful words the original song includes, luckily this version is PG rated.  The other song that was included was Bruno Mars “The Lazy Song”.  Hmmmm…definitely not an appropriate choice for a an eight year old (that is the lowest recommended age on the box).  I was surprised by this choice.  I assume it was because they wanted to have a “hip and modern” song on the system.  But I find this song be a a poor choice.  Luckily, it is easy to erase that song from the microphone system and add your own selection.  In a few minutes I was able to delete that song and replace it with a kids song from my computer.  Obviously you must download the Pro Series application, but I found it to be straightforward and standard.   You also need to have the music already on your computer.  This was not an issue for me as I have an iPod and download music to my computer frequently.

And actually you don’t even need a song.  My eldest son likes to make up his own songs and use the system for the amphed sound it provides.  (On a side note- the volume is not too loud on this, thank goodness!  It can be loud enough to enjoy singing along with the music, but not loud enough to hurt even the smallest of ears.)  Here he is jamming to his own creation.

Overall I was highly impressed with our new Paper Jamz Pro Series Microphone.  I have never been to a karaoke bar, but I guess I never need to as I now have this!  I can see how this “toy” is fun for children of ALL ages!
