BAKED CLASSICS® MULTIGRAIN CRISPS
Vanilla Frosting: Creamy vanilla frosting with just the right amount of sweetness. Feel free to indulge without fear.
I recently had the opportunity to try all three varieties of Baked Classics. First I tried Vanilla Frosting. I think of crisps like these to be more akin to potato chips, so the idea of a sweet crisp did not entirely appeal to me. The sweet factor was minimal on these light crunch snacks. There is a light dusting of vanilla on them, but it is not overwhelming. That being said, these crisps were not for me. Again as I stated before, I look for a salty taste when eating an item like this and I found it odd for the taste to be sweet. My youngest son loves them however. He is always trying to open our snack drawer in pursuit of a bag. Perhaps if you don’t have a preconceived notion about what they should taste like, they are more enjoyable?
Another variety I tasted was the Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper crisps. I found the pepper portion of these chips to be a bit too much. To be fair, salt & pepper chips and snacks are not my favorite. And while these chips were not bad, they certainly didn’t “wow” me.
The final and BEST crisps that I sampled was the Mesquite BBQ. I do love barbecue flavored chips and these crisps were no exception. They tasted great! I love knowing that I was snacking on a baked treat and not something full of unhealthy preservatives. After a few of these crisps I was ready for some more and I was not too willing to share either!
Overall, I would be interested in purchasing the Mesquite BBQ crisps again as they are tasty and a healthy snack alternative. The Sea Salt & Pepper and the Vanilla Frosting versions were not my cup of tea, but give them a try yourself!
