Cereal bars are one of the ultimate forms of comfort food. Cereal mixed with sugary goodness is an indulgent recipe for those of any age, but particularly for little hands. There are lots of different recipes available. This particular one uses mostly unsugared cereal, but then adds in a hefty dose of sweetness. This definitely isn’t the sort of treat to make on a regular basis, but everything in moderation, right?
Using Rice Chex, Corn Flakes, and Rice Krispies this treat left me with several half boxes of cereal leftover, which my little fellas were happy to devour. Cereal can be a hot commodity at my house and those three types are no exception.
This recipe freezes quite well and I really recommend sticking them in the refrigerator or freezer to help them solidify a bit better.

- 4 cups corn flakes
- 5 cups Rice Chex
- 2 cups Rice Krispies
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 2 cups salted peanuts
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups white syrup
- 1 - 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1. Mix cereal, coconut and peanuts.
- 2. Bring to soft ball stag sugar, butter, syrup, and milk.
- 3. Mix with cereal.
- 4. Pat into a large greased pan. {9x15}
Oh these look so good and easy! Our little one loves when we make things like this. I will have to make and surprise him one day after school!
This looks like a fairly simple recipe with big rewards!!! Yum!
Okay is the serving size the entire pan or is one square seriously over 9000 calories?
I plan on making these anyways just need to know how much reatraint I’ll need lol
Oh my gosh!! That is just one square:) Thanks for catching that!
