These bars are deliciously sweet and a great accompaniment to a strong black cup of coffee. Or if your taste-tester is freckle-faced and still in elementary school, like mine, a glass of milk would do.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp almond flavoring
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
Topping
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients {except topping ingredients} and pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle with topping mix and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
