In my continuing obsession with all things avocado I thought I’d share my favorite avocado toast recipe. Yes, it’s really more of a guacamole toast recipe. I just prefer my avocado with a few ingredients that make it more guacamole-like. That being said, one can not eat chips all the time and that’s how I switched this into avocado toast. I imagine at some point I might tire of this recipe and start pairing the my avocado with something else. Stay tuned:)

Ingredients
- one avocado,
- half a lime,
- one garlic clove,
- sprinkling kosher salt,
- sprinkling of crushed red pepper
Instructions
- 1. Cut avocado, half and scoop into a bowl.
- 2. Mince one garlic clove and add to avocado.
- 3. Squeeze half of lime onto avocado.
- 4. sprinkle with kosher salt.
- 5. Mash avocado mixture.
- 6. Spread onto toast.
- 7. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper.

Avocado toast from my kitchen is similar to yours, except that I add a slice of heirloom tomato
topped with a soft poached egg, and a sprinkle of grated cheese under the broiler just to
melt. The soft yolk with the avocado brings this treat to a different level.

Do you have your bread toasted already when you put the avocado and other stuff on top? So you poach your egg first? How do you poach your egg?
Yes, I already have the bread toasted when I add the avocado. I prefer to fry my egg overhard, but you could poach the egg and add it on top too.
Ali, this recipe would go perfectly with the THM [Trim Healthy Mama] weight loss plan. The toast would have to be organic sourdough bread – and wouldn’t that taste wonderful! They would call this an E meal [E stands for Energy] In fact, I am going to pin this on my THM pinterest board to make sometime very soon!

So can you have avocado with an E meal, not sure if it was to much. It would be a carb? So would you only use one piece of sprouted bread or 2. I am new trying to figure this out.
I am in love with this simple yet amazingly delicious recipe! I’d heard of avocado toast before but had never tried it…I decided to give it a try one week when I was sick of eating sweet things for breakfast. I tried this and it is my new favorite…filling quick and easy to make, and most importantly, delicious! Thank you!!!

I am glad you are asking people to eat more avocado I lived in Trinidad as a child and this too was laid on the table often…We never added pepper fakes as is too strong for the delicate taste of the avocado …a drop of good olive oil which we call [sweet oil], a dusting of salt,,,and voila….thanks===Querino..

Yes, you can definitely add more ingredients as you prefer! It’s delicious just the way each individual likes it! Enjoy!
