Happy Family: Stories from the Bright Side #hfbrightside

happy family feeding kids

I have been compensated for this post, all opinions are my own.

Being a parent definitely has it’s share of highs and lows. And feeding babies and toddlers can provide a vast plethora of experiences.  It’s all about “learning as you go”.  And even though I’m the mom to three little boys each one is different.  Each boy has his own unique way of reacting to different tastes and textures.

Within our family we have an epic story from the bright side regarding my eldest son’s first time with peas.  Before his smashed pea experience he was only familiar with rice, oatmeal, and barley cereal.  I anticipated a reaction, but what ensued was hilarious.  Luckily I was able to capture the moment on video.  At about seven months old the look on his face was priceless.  His expression is clearly full of disbelief and confusion at what his precious mother could be feeding him.  With a scrunched up nose and even an uncontrollable shutter he was clearly not a fan.  If you’ve ever never seen a baby twitch out of taste sensation experience, you clearly haven’t experienced parenthood:)

Needless to say his reaction created a sort of experimentation environment where we wanted to try new foods just to see his reaction.  Just give him a little nibble and sit back and watch the reaction.  Yes, we also tried this experience with my two other boys.  It has been our experience that feeding babies and toddlers is cheap entertainment!:)

Your baby is so cute eating that spaghetti, I used to remember my boys when they feed themselves when toddlers and babies, and yeap they also made a mess, I never will forget the time my oldest was with his grandmom and started pulverizing crackers in the packages and then the package burst and crushed crackers when all over like a powder bomb exploded really made a mess, but he laughed and laughed and his grandmom had to help clean it up
