I only have a few things to say about this dish-
- fast
- easy
- restaurant quality
- delicious
- tasty
- highly repeatable
- stupidly simple
- brilliant
Yes, I said stupidly simple. This is one of those dishes that leaves you astounded at the taste sensation that can from such simple ingredients, cooked in a basic way. It’s not rocket science. It’s cooking at it’s easiest. It left me wondering, why didn’t I think of that?!
The source?
Based upon this Sautéed Shrimp & Fettuccine dish, I’ll definitely be trying more recipes from Southern Living Quick-Start Homemade, Oxmoor House 2013.
Here is the scoop-
1/4 cup butter
1 envelope Italian dressing mix
1 lb peeled and deveined med or large size raw shrimp
9 oz fettuccine
1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heart; stir in dressing mix. Add shrimp; cook, stirring constantly, 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.
2. Prepare fettuccine, according to package directions. Serve shrimp immediately over pasta.
See, I told you it was easy. In fact this is my moderated version. The original even suggests using refrigerated fettuccine which cooks even faster.
You can not believe that taste?!
Again, stupidly simple. Amazingly delicious.
Wow. Seriously? 4 ingredients, 10 minutes and done. LOVE it!
It was so easy, I wasn’t sure it would be good, but it was so tasty!
Wow this sounds great – thanks for the post!
Looks really tasty! I love shrimp with pasta.
