Camping & Backpacking PackPillow & a Giveaway

I have received compensation for this post, however all opinions are my own.

It’s winter in Minnesota and must of us are not camping, that is unless you are truly a hardcore outdoor lover. That being said the boys and I had a great summer camping at some of our favorite spots and we look forward to doing the same next year. But this coming summer we have a new camping essential on our packing list~ the PackPillow

{Dreaming of summer fun and trying not to freeze.}

The PackPillow is more than just a pillow. It’s a seat cushion, a backpack and a pillow all rolled into one. Checkout this video for the inspiring overview.

I love items that serve more than one purpose! I wish I could show you what my van looks like when we are packed to go on a camping trip. My large van is literally bursting at the seams. With three boys, one extra large Labradoodle, a tent, sleeping bags, camping chairs, food, clothes, sleeping mats and other assorted camping gear there is usually no extra room and I frequently have to get creative with smushing things. Typically one of the very last things to be added to the already heaping pile of gear is our pillows. While soft, they are also bulky. Sometimes they obstruct my ability to see out of the van’s back window. With the PackPillow its no longer necessary for me to bring along our normal pillows.

Let me explain. PackPillow has a soft foam place to rest your head, but the genius of the product is that you use your own sweatshirt or something similar to stuff the pack with for extra comfort.

Here is the empty PackPillow.

And here is the PackPillow stuffed with a sweatshirt.

Once the sweatshirt is stuffed in the bag simply zip the bag up and you are ready to rest your weary head.

If you don’t need the pillow side of the bag simply turn the bag inside out to be ready to use on your day adventures and attach the strap for easy carrying. Checkout my video below for a fast tutorial.

Perhaps the trickiest part of the whole thing is the clip for the strap. I took one look at it and I thought, “Houston, we have a problem”. I had no idea how to work it.

Once again I turned my sights to the handy brand video for a quick tutorial. In no time I was attaching the strap and removing it with ease.

My oldest son has already claimed this PackPillow for his Boy Scout adventures. Once he actually starts backpacking to campsite this is going to be extremely useful as it’s so light. Meanwhile I’ll have to purchase a few more just so we can all have one for ourselves!

One lucky Mama Report reader will win a PackPillow for themselves!

US applications only. PackPillow will not arrive in time for Christmas.
