LeapFrog Touch Magic “Rock’n Learn Party! #LeapFrogTouchMagic

Since my eldest was a wee little babe, I have been a fan of LeapFrog toys. Part educational, part silly fun- the products tend to be the right mix to satisfy both parent and child. I am always interested in any new products they create and I was thrilled to host a LeapFrog Touch Magic “Rock’n Learn Party!

My party featured the new Touch Magic products- the Learning Bus and the Rockin’ Guitar.

With a wide range of ages (2-8), I was curious as to how these newest toys would be received by my party gang.  After an initial slow warm up (it takes a few minutes for kids to figure out how to work things), I’d say the toys were a hit!

Yep, that’s my eight year old jamming away with the Rockin’ Guitar.  I wasn’t sure he would like it and view it as babyish, but he loves it!

Luckily, we had two guitars at our party, otherwise the kids ability to share might have been truly tested.

Technically this is a preschool toy, though all the kids loved it.  There are ten built in songs and kids can also customize their songs by adding riffs, silly sounds and drums.

The guitar was super easy to use and has a couple of features that set it apart from other products.  First of all, the guitar is thin and lightweight.  I have never seen a guitar so lightweight, durable, and fun.  Also the strap portion (which could potentially be dangerous) is easily remedied by hooks that if forced can come off.

Kids love rocking out and this Tough Magic Rockin’ Guitar made it easy for kids to do just that.

But what about the Touch Magic Learning Bus?  This toy was also awesome, but was easy overshadowed by the guitar.  The guitar is rockin’ fun, but the bus requires sit down learning.  Obviously in a party setting the bus was not going to be the biggest hit.

The Learning Bus is a great way for children to explore their ABC’s, something of a standard feature for many LeapFrog products.  With plenty of interaction this thin toy would be great for car trips.

My crew truly enjoyed these new LeapFrog products.  I would personally recommend the Rockin’ Guitar for any child age 8 or younger, while the Learning Bus would be a great option for children 5 and under.
