The summer of 2014 is imminent. My boys are excited to embrace all those classic summer moments for another year. Water gun fights, summer vacation, playing at the park, camping, 4th of July fireworks….there are so many moments that make summer special. Last summer I had the privilege to be a Popsicle® Brand Ambassador and I was honored to be selected as an ambassador this summer as well. I was delighted. My boys? They were ecstatic. What’s better than a mom who is compelled to focus on Popsicle®’s as her job? Life truly is sweet for my little fellas.
This summer Popsicle® is focusing on the “Rules for Being a Kid”. Most of us could learn to embrace the lighthearted, carefree child within a bit more. Remember when responsibilities and obligations were minimal? When the summer afternoon called for nothing but your heart’s content? This summer step back in time to when you were a kid. What rules applied to you? Or relive some of those memories through your children or loved ones. Share your “Rules for Being a Kid” with Popsicle® via Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #PopsicleRules and #Contest. On June 21st Popsicle® will share their official guidebook featuring the top submitted rules, those selected will have their “rule” featured on limited-edition boxes of Popsicle® and receive a cash prize.
What about my guys? What are their top rules? Check it out!
Fashion? Modesty? Being “socially correct”? Kids just don’t care! To be a kid is to be originally yourself again without all the societal obligations of adulthood. If you find a way to hang a hockey stick off of your shirt, who cares?!
Being a kid means….playing the part of being a kid. I’m sure you know what I mean.
You want me to take out the trash?! But I’m just a kid!
You’re not going to let me have another Popsicle®! Outrageous!
Cute?
Peaceful?
Absorbing…..books?
Could it be true?
If my kids wrote this rule they would mention that it’s important to keep mom on her toes. It can’t all be wrestling and chaos. They make sure to throw in some silent sweetness. The kind of stillness that makes you wonder what they are secretly up to. There is always bound to be something sneaky masked under the cuteness.
Whether it is spaghetti or bouncing on a trampoline. Kids don’t hold anything back. Enjoy the moment. Embrace the mess. Isn’t it great when someone is always there to help you clean up the mess?
Jump in.
Feet first.
Just go for it!
Enjoy the summer fun!
To help kickoff our summer of fun Popsicle® is kindly providing one lucky Mama Report reader 16 free product coupons! Consider yourself set for the season!:)
