Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bra Review & Giveaway

Breastfeeding has always been easy for me. I have never struggled with breastfeeding like I know some women do. My babies always seemed to know how to latch on and eat,  and I never had to deal with mastitis or other problems. I am very thankful for that! I sympathize for those that have had to deal with any or all of these problems. Breastfeeding is a natural bonding experience for me and one that I enjoyed because I was able to carve private time with my baby(ies) and provide them something that only I could.

That being said, going back to work has always made breastfeeding more challenging. I work 12 hour shifts 2 or 3 days per week with an 8 hour shift thrown in as well. As a pharmacist, I am not provided breaks that will allow for me to easily pump. Most states, I believe, have enacted some legislation providing for time and a place to pump. New York has done this also, but some professions (including pharmacists) are exempt. I find that to be ironic since medical professionals understand the benefits of breastfeeding, but … At any rate, the difficulty in finding time to pump makes it very difficult to continue breastfeeding.

I received a Hands Free Pumping Bra from Simple Wishes. I was very curious about this product and anxious to try it. I found the sizing to be extremely easy to determine as the product is VERY flexible in sizing, providing for several ways to adjust the bra for the most comfort. Check out the website to see the sizing chart.

The pumping bra did work very well allowing for hands-free pumping. The shields (I have a Medela brand pump) fit nicely with the bra cups and the bra was supportive and comfortable to wear. I feel the bra did exactly as promised.  I had hoped that it would provide for a better, more effective pumping routine at work, however this didn’t happen. The amount of time required to put the bra on and get set up to pump is just too long for me to use at work. (My current pumping time, start to finish, is about 10 minutes usually). I can use the bra at home easily and will continue to do so when I need to.  Perhaps someone with a different occupation who doesn’t have a time constraint and could greatly benefit from a hands-free experience would gain more from this bustier.
