Soft Clothing Review

Many children are extra-sensitive to the texture and feel of clothing. Soft® is the first line of inclusive clothing designed with the needs of all children in mind, including those with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and tactile defensiveness/sensitivity. We use flat seaming and seamless construction for extra comfort, 100% of the softest combed cotton and our specially developed Soft Sensory Blends , wide collars, encased elastic waistbands, printed labels (tagless), custom fits, and much more.

Created by a Mom and Special Education teacher, our goal is to design clothing that can enhance social skills, sensory organization, concentration, by addressing unique sensory needs, but without sacrificing personal style and self expression.

Oh! How I wish Soft Clothing, especially their seamless socks, would have been available when my oldest was younger.  My eldest is sensitive to clothing that just doesn’t feel right.  Right around the age of three we would have daily meltdowns when trying to put on socks.  Those seams can be wicked!  I would dread pulling out his socks.  Somewhere over the course of three and half years he can handle his seams much better.  There are still socks in his drawer that he refuses to wear because they don’t feel right, but at least he will wear some socks without the drama.

My eldest has also been sensitive to shirts.  Sweaters?!  I purchased beautiful sweaters when he was a baby in anticipation of my handsome brown eyed boy wearing them.  Little did I know he would look at the thing and freak out.  If you want to see a three year old throw a fit wave a sweater in their direction.  Luckily clothing tags have not been an issue.  I”m not sure what I would have done if the tags on his very clothes had bothered him.  Now we have Soft Clothing to fix that problem, but just a mere few years ago this clothing line wasn’t an option.  We received a Soft Clothing basic tee to review.  Here is my sensitive, intense, smart, clever, loving, eldest son.

He wore the shirt to basketball practice and it was a hit.  NO tag in the back is a plus and the material is very comfy.  I would definitely recommend this clothing line for all kids with clothing sensitivities.

I received this product to review, however all opinions are my own.
