I love it when I can purchase an item and have the ability to use it on multiple devices.  In my opinion this is the way all things should work.  But too frequently it seems that companies create a product only to have it work with one item.  The more incompatable a device is, the greater the profit margins could potentially be for a company.  If electronic gadgets are not compatable, people will be forced to purchase more devices to work with their electronics.

Occassionally there are a few golden products that can be used in multiple formats.  I love this.  The new Lenovo speaker is such a device.  These main speakers with built-in amplifiers and a sub-speaker can be attached to your laptop or desktop computer or you can even use it with your smartphone or MP3/MP4 player!  You gotta love that capability!  And while the speakers are not large in size, they do pack a powerful sound.

Here are the specifics-

  • 4 watts of power for high-quality full sound
  • Convenient USB-powered connection with energy saving function
  • Speaker wire spools for easy storage
  • Elegant yet substantial presentation

Within my own home I can can use the Lenovo speakers on my laptop, desktop, my husband's smartphone, and my mp3 player.  This is certainly the type of device that is handy to bring with on summer vacations since they are so easy to transport and store.

From 5/15 to 5/21 these speakers will be on sale for $11.99!  I was truly surprised at the price.  It seems that something with this amount of functionality would be much more expensive.  Hooray for discounted prices!
