Microsoft OneNote TripBook 2010 is a digital notebook that provides a single place where you can gather all of your notes and information, with the added benefits of powerful search capabilities to find what you are looking for quickly, plus easy-to-use shared notebooks so you can manage information overload and work together with others more effectively.

Unlike paper-based systems, word processing programs, e-mail systems, or other productivity programs, OneNote delivers the flexibility to gather and organize text, pictures, web links/pages, and more — all in one digital notebook on your computer. OneNote can help you become more productive by keeping the information you need at your fingertips and reducing time spent searching for information across e-mail messages, paper notebooks, file folders, and printouts.

My thoughts?

I recently made a TripBook of Rio de Janeiro using Microsoft OneNote 2010.  The idea of the TripBook is to include all the things I will experience within a 24 hour time period in Rio.  There are so many wonderful things to experience in Rio!  I was overwhelmed with possiblities.  Creating a TripBook was a great way to display my options and keep track of my notes.  The program easily allowed me to dedicate a page for each part of my day.

Here is a screen clipping from one of my pages.  I love how easy it is to move anything around within the page.

The actual creation of my TripBook was very simple.  I had never worked with OneNote TripBook before, so I was a little anxious when I sat down to use the program.  However, when I started adding notes to the TripBook my trip just came together.  OneNote is an online notebook.  And just like a regular notebook you can write, draw, and add pictures where ever you want.  It was so easy to add a picture and address of places I wanted to visit.  And I love the fact that I could also link my text to a particular web address.  This feature makes it simple to access more information if I need to.  My TripBook includes EVERYTHING I need for my trip.  It is all in one easily accessible and user friendly place.  OneNote is the modern version of a basic notebook and is a great program to use when planning your next vacation.
