While in California for the premiere of Oz The Great and Powerful (which, you’ve all seen by now, right?) we had the opportunity to stay at the ultra luxurious The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. This property is so much more than just a hotel. Situated on 23 acres this historic landmark includes restaurants, a Japanese garden, a pool, guest houses, a tennis court, and spa. It is hard to believe, but the hotel is really just minutes from downtown L.A. When you are at The Langham, you feel as though you are in your own exclusive town. Let me show you!

Placed on the edge of the San Gabriel Mountains, The Langham was originally built in 1907 and has been hosting extinguished guest ever since.
To put it plainly- this place is HUGE! It took me a while to acclimate myself. But I wasn’t afraid to seize the opportunity to explore this amazing place.
The lobby felt fresh and cheerful with a plethora of light. I might not be an impartial guest, as I was visiting from a land of bleak white snow. I was overwhelmed by sun, green, bright colors, and warmth.
I forgot that the rest of the U.S. doesn’t necessarily live in the cold and snow during the winter.
As you can imagine, this stark contrast to my subdued senses was amazing. I’ve haven’t appreciated the snow since my return home.
After checking in I was excited to see my room. The bed was super comfortable. And they even have slippers and a bathrobe to make sure guests are extra cozy.
And look what was waiting for me!! A special treat from the hotel. I must remark that the service within the hotel was exemplary. Everyone was so kind and very service orientated. I felt as though I was a special guest at the hotel. And let me tell you- I normally stay at the kind of places that service a complementary breakfast:) LOL This hotel is clearly of a different caliber.
The view from my room!
One my way to the Japanese Gardens I couldn’t help but to admire the stunning art decorated through the halls.
A short walk over the bridge and I was quickly transported to a quiet oasis within a busy metropolis. Within the garden it seems as though civilization is gone. Only peacefulness and beauty exist here, what a perfect setting for a wedding!
Palm trees! I am truly in California again:)
I think I could have stayed in this garden for quite some time just soaking up all the lush colorful beauty. But of course, I had a lot of important appointments with Oz. I’ll have to visit again for a leisurely experience.
Before our night of glam I did manage to sneak in a blissful lunch at The Terrance. It was yummy!
If you are ever in the Pasadena area I highly recommend staying at The Langham. Luxurious accommodations, beautiful decor, and a picturesque setting await!
Connect with The Langham online via Facebook and Twitter.
My trip to the #DisneyOzEvent was funded entirely by Disney, however all opinions are my own.
